Celestron PowerSeeker 70EQ Telescope – 70mm Refractor with Two Eyepieces

Explore the wonders of the night sky with the Celestron PowerSeeker 70EQ Telescope, an accessible entry into astronomy for beginners, families, and curious stargazers. Combining a 70mm refractor optical system with a manual German equatorial mount, this telescope is designed to help you discover the Moon, observe planets, and explore bright star clusters and other celestial objects.

The PowerSeeker 70EQ features coated glass optics that gather light for enjoyable nighttime viewing. Its 700mm focal length provides a versatile starting point for observing the Moon’s craters, Jupiter and its brighter moons, Saturn when viewing conditions permit, and a variety of prominent objects in the night sky.

The included 20mm and 4mm eyepieces offer two different magnification options, while the supplied 3x Barlow lens can increase magnification when appropriate. The manual equatorial mount includes setting circles and slow-motion controls to help you locate and follow celestial objects as they move across the sky.

With an adjustable tripod and a convenient accessory tray, the PowerSeeker 70EQ is a practical choice for backyard astronomy, family stargazing, and anyone ready to begin exploring the universe.

What’s Included?

The standard Celestron PowerSeeker 70EQ package (model 21037) includes the following components:

• 1 manual German equatorial mount — supports the telescope and helps with locating and tracking celestial objects.

• 1 latitude adjustment screw — used to set the mount’s latitude angle.

• 1 star diagonal — directs the viewing angle to make observing more comfortable.

• 1 20mm eyepiece — provides lower-power viewing, approximately 35x magnification.

• 1 4mm eyepiece — provides higher-power viewing, approximately 175x magnification under ideal conditions.

• 1 3x Barlow lens — increases the magnification provided by a compatible eyepiece.

• 1 finderscope — helps you aim the telescope toward your chosen target.

• 1 counterweight bar — supports the counterweight on the equatorial mount.

• 1 counterweight, approximately 4 lb. — balances the telescope on the mount.

• 2 slow-motion control cables — allow fine adjustments along the mount’s two axes.
